Ok Here’s the Deal
I have had a domain web hosting site on Microsoft office live for over 2 years named whatifineed.info. I paid for the domain name and built my site which took me more hours than I can remember. I took a lot of energy, sweat and tears but I finally got it looking the way I wanted it to look. Well, a few weeks ago I was informed that office live is being eliminated and replaced with office 365. Okay, no big deal right? Wrong. To use this new rip off site it is going to cost me $20 a year for my domain name and $15 a month to host my site. WTH does Microsoft think people are rich or is Microsoft loosing so much money they have to take it from the little guy even more. The other thing was I used one of their templates as a base line and made changes to fit my personality and style. Now I am an avid Mozilla/Firefox user and really hate Internet Explorer. Due to this fact I was unable to save my page as an HTML file so I could reuse it on another hosting site. Thus I thought I was going to have to redo it all from scratch.
After talking to my son Wyatt about this issue almost every day for over a week today he came through once again to the rescue saved the day and hours/days of work. Mom open editing site on IE view site in editor click on save as and save as HTML on your hard drive and it will be all yours. Well shut my mouth give me a Gibbs smack on the head. It was so easy and made me feel like such a DUHHHH!!!
I am now waiting for my new hosting site to finalize my purchase and then I can upload my page to them and I will be back in business. It is not free but not expensive either and I will have 2 domain names the .info and also a .us. As soon as I can get back up and running I will be posting more tips, tricks and info for those emergency times when you can get to a store, doctor or mechanic. There will be info on things to use around the home to be more green and links to some new product lines I have come across in the past few month.
The moral to this story is nothing lasts forever, free is not always the way to go and never give up try try again. Blessed Be.
